Mayor Konstanty Dombrowicz granted scholarships for the year 2010 for 104 athletes, including 87 juniors. In this way the city shows its appreciation for the successes they achieved internationally and at home in the year 2009.

For the second time in a row Bydgoszcz obtained the fourth place in Poland for sport competitions for children and youth in 2009. Among clubs CWZS Zawisza was third.
On the 3rd of February the City Council of Bydgoszcz made a decision to apply to the Minister of Interior (through the medium of the Voivode of kujawsko-pomorskie) for a new regulation that would state changes of administrative borders of the City of Bydgoszcz.
At the coming weekend Polish tennis players: Radwańska, Domachowska, Jans and Rosolska will play against the team from Belgium at the ‘Łuczniczka’ hall at the Fed Cup. It will be is a meeting of the first round of the World Group II. Fed Cup matches differ from individual games and the girls are waiting for strong support at ‘Łuczniczka’.
