Pomeranian Special Economic Zone was established on July 11th 2001 as a result of the merger of the Special Economic Zones in Żarnowiec and Tczew. Currently, the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone covers the total area of 1 220 ha, including 603 ha in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. The subzone of the Special Economic Zone in Bydgoszcz was established on the basis of the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 4 August 2009 amending the regulation concerning the pomeranian special economic zone. It covers the area of 35.85 ha (owned by the Gmina of Bydgoszcz) and is located in the territory of the Bydgoszcz Industrial Park situated only 6 km from the City centre and 3 km from the airport. |
