Bydgoszcz Council for alteration of city borders

On the 3rd of February the City Council of Bydgoszcz made a decision to apply to the Minister of Interior (through the medium of the Voivode of kujawsko-pomorskie) for a new regulation that would state changes of administrative borders of the City of Bydgoszcz.

According with the will of the City Council of Bydgoszcz expressed in the resolution No XLVII/705/09 of 27th May 2009, there is an intention to change the administrative borders of Bydgoszcz. After thorough analysis of all circumstances 4 areas that are closely related with the city in spatial and functional aspects, but administratively belong to other communities, were appointed. The application suggests inclusion of parts of the following communities into the borders of Bydgoszcz: Białe Błota and Sicienko (total area 790 ha). The alterations might indicate a new stage in the cooperation between Bydgoszcz and the neighbouring communities.
