Ecological Bydgoszcz awarded

The Head of the National Ecology Council Prof. Jerzy Buzek prolonged the title granted to Bydgoszcz ‘’Environmentally Friendly Community’’.

The National Ecological Competition ‘’Environmentally Friendly’’ has been organised for 10 years. The President of the Republic of Poland is the Honorary Patron of the project. The idea of the competition is to promote proecological public behaviour that according to the organizers is at least as important as the introduction of environment friendly technologies.

Bydgoszcz is one of the greenest cities in Poland (second place in Poland). The Municipality looks after almost 1000 ha of green areas.
