Scholarships for the talented


Mayor Konstanty Dombrowicz granted scholarships for the year 2010 for 104 athletes, including 87 juniors. In this way the city shows its appreciation for the successes they achieved internationally and at home in the year 2009.


- Money is obviously not the most essentials thing in life, but no doubt it helps in developing talents and skills – said Mayor Konstanty Dombrowicz to the awarded athletes. – I would like to thank you for your successes I ask for more. They earn fame both for you and for the city, in Poland and worldwide. – added the Mayor.
The scholarships will be paid monthly. Juniors will receive PLN 380 and seniors PLN 1000. In total the municipal budget has allocated this year PLN 600,000 for this project.

The scholarships have been granted since 2007.

On 2 March in the Marshal’s Office in Toruń Mayor Konstanty Dombrowicz participated in the signing of the agreement referring to the EU co financing of the technical infrastructure at the Bydgoszcz Industrial Park.
   
From the 3rd of March until 11th of April in the Red Granary at 8a Mennica St. in Mill Island we will be able to admire an exhibition entitled ‘Rembrandt and the circle of his traditions.
   
27th and 28th of February, “Łuczniczka” Sports and Entertainment Hall - The best Polish dancers competing for the title of Polish Champions.
   
Football fans can now practice their skills on eight football pitches located in Bydgoszcz. Soon, thanks to the initiative of “My football pitch Orlik 2012” project, the number will increase to 11.
   
Winter weather conditions caused a break in the reconstruction of boulevards along the banks of the Brda River. The work has been restarted and the project is going to be completed according with the schedule. The cost of the undertaking amounts to PLN 13 million.
